2013 SOS Jr. Challenger and Novice Tennis Tournament

DRAW POSTING - PLAYERS AND PARENTS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE ABOUT DRAW POSTINGS....We are experiencing some diffuculties with the draws...we are hoping to have draws completed by 12pm Friday. SOME EVENTS ARE BEING COMBINED IN ORDER TO HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS TO PLAY A ROUND ROBIN AND TO PLAY TWO MATCHES AS STATED IN THE DRAW CATEGORY. AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW, THE TOURNAMENT SHOULD FINISH SATURDAY AFTERNOON - THANK YOU, MICHEAL QUINTANA - TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR

Novice Draw Players: All Novice Singles and doubles Divisions are round robin with 6, 8, 10 game pro sets, no-ad scoring per round.

Challenger Draw Players: All rounds except finals scoring will be Best of 2 of 3 sets no ad scoring with a 10-pt set tie breaker for the 3rd. All challenger rounds have a FMLC (first match loser consulation) unless there are only 3 players, in that case the division will have a round robin. For Challenger finals (including consulation finals) the format is best 2 of 3 sets - with ad scoring. All Gender and Mixed doubles rounds are 8 game pro sets - no ad scoring, including finals.

Event Cost: The Novice Singles Events are $35 per player and the Doubles Events are $12 per player. All players are guarenteed 2 matches.

Doubles Partner needed ?: If you do not have a doubles partner and need one, email tournament director Micheal at totallytennis3@gmail.com and he will do his best to pair your with someone.

Draw Posting: Draws will be posted by Thursday evening at the latest...

Notes: In order to fill up divisions, the tournament director may combine age groups (novice and challenger levels may also be combined). Rest time between events may be as little as 15 minutes so come prepared to play many sets on the first day - at least 2 rounds in each singles and doubles.

Trophies: Trophies will be given to the Winner and runner up of the main draw and medals will be given to the back draws (consulation) of each age and gender group.

Check In: Please check in 30 minutes ahead of scheduled time in order to warm up and to be ready to go on court earlier than scheduled. All USTA "friend at court" rules apply.
