Welcome to the 2021-2022 WInter Evening Doubles Pickleball League.

League starts Jan 4th and runs for 10 weeks ending March 1 No match on Dec 28

We need at least 12 to run the league - IF the schedule is not created - there is no league running

Level: 2.5-3.3!

This league will run in the KING of the COURT format -

King of the Court format. This means the winner of the court will move up a court each week. It is important to make your match. If a sub wins in your place, we will take the next highest score and that player will move up.

This "league" will be a litttle more competitive while having fun and making new friends. It is a great way to learn how to work together with a partner. Players will have a designated number of matches on the schedule. Please follow that number for the date that you play and your court assignment.

You will have a match each Tuesday Night. Scoring: three games to 11, win by 2. ( you will play with each person on the court)

League fee: $40 per person and you must be a racket member to participate

Remember to plan ahead and find your subs as early as possible. Send an email to all players on your court to notify them of the change and also send one to Ralph.Acosta@bayclubs.com

Lastly, in consideration for other racquet members, please do not book a court prior to your match time for warm-up. Thanks for your cooperation. When you arrive, please wait for the previous reservation to finish their game before entering the court

League Rules

1. If you are scheduled to play, it is your responsibility to find a sub. Call a player from the sub list. Players who are regulars are not eligible to be a sub. If you have another sub in mind (one who is not included on the sub list), please get approval from “Commissioner Paige” 858-369-3217. Anyone can be a SUB as our sub list isn’t that full yet, but they must be a member.

2. There is no rescheduling of matches due to players not being available to play.

3. Warm up and default rules: ten minute warm up. USAPA default rules apply for our league. The court is available at 6:00 p.m. and the first point must start by 6:05 p.m. (Tennis office clock is the official clock.) Rest room usage must be done before 6:00 p.m. please show up at 6pm sharp!

If players show up after 6:00 p.m., then there will be no warm up. The match must begin. If both players from the opposing team do not show up until after 6:15 p.m., then it is the discretion of the team present to either take the default or opt to play the match. If only one player from the opposing team is on the court by 6:15 p.m. and his/her partner has not arrived, the match must begin at 6:15 p.m. with two players playing against one player on the full doubles court until the other player arrives. Once the player arrives, the match continues with NO warm up.

4. Play two/three games to 11, win by 2. After this match you will have a second match to play on the same night. YOU will switch partners

5. The team who wins the most games reports the scores.

6. In case of inclement weather, first check ZINGLE, or call the front desk 1 hour before match time: 858-369-3217. Zingle will tell you if the league is on or off!
