NYCC Tennis Court Reservation Rules:

1. General Reservation Guidelines:

- Courts can be reserved up to 7 days in advance.

- Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Players must arrive within 10 minutes of their scheduled reservation time or risk losing their court.

- Maximum reservation time per player/group: 2 hours for doubles, 90 minutes for singles.

2. Priority for Courts 8 and 9:

- Courts 8 and 9 are designated as **priority courts for lessons**.

- If a coach or instructor needs to conduct a lesson on Court 8 or 9, they may request to move an existing reservation to another available court.

- Players with reservations on Courts 8 and 9 may be asked to relocate to another court if a lesson is scheduled during their time slot. If no other courts are available, the lesson will not interfere with the court reservation.

3. Notification of Reservation Changes:

- Players with a reservation on Court 8 or 9 must be notified at least 2 hours in advance if their reservation needs to be moved due to a lesson.

- In the case of short notice (less than 2 hours), the court will not be moved unless the player consents.

4. Lesson Scheduling:

- Coaches are encouraged to schedule lessons on Courts 8 and 9, and should reserve courts in advance to avoid conflicts.

- If all courts are booked, priority will be given to lessons on Courts 8 and 9, provided players with existing reservations are given reasonable accommodations on other courts.

5. Exemptions & Special Events:

- Special events, tournaments, or maintenance may override regular reservations. Players will be informed ahead of time in such cases.

DRESS CODE

Members and guests are required to wear appropriate tennis attire. Men may wear collared shirts or non-collared micro-fiber shirts, tennis shorts and non-marking tennis shoes. Only tennis shoes will be permitted on the court. Running shoes and cross fit shoes will not be allowed as it is an issue of safety, not to mention, damaging to the courts.

GUEST FEES

Guests must be registered at the Tennis Shop before playing. Guest fees are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for juniors per day.

COURT ETIQUETTE

To enter and exit from your court, please use the gate if possible rather than walking across the court. If there is no gate, please wait for play to stop before walking across. All used cups and towels should be cleared from the courts and patio area after play is completed.

CHILDREN 8 AND UNDER

Children ages 8 and under are not allowed in the Tennis Shop or area unless accompanied by a non- playing adult or an approved babysitter at least 14 years of age.
